Title:Gas Operator/ Gas Scheduler: UK & Italian Market : World Leading Global Energy Oil CoRate:35,000 - 42,000 Per annumLocation:Strand, LONDONCompany:World Leading Energy and Oil CompanyStart date:ASAPDuration:6 Months Initially World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Gas Operations Day Operator: Gas Scheduling for the UK and Italian markets.The Commercial Gas Operations Day Operator is part of the Commercial Gas Operations Day Team working within standard trading office hours which is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of their gas activities in UK (currently including supplies from North Sea), Italy, Ireland, Poland, Denmark, Switzerland, France, Netherlands, NOGAT (offshore Netherlands), Belgium and a power plant in Spain.The Commercial Gas Operations Day Operator role reports directly to the Commercial Gas Operations Day Team Leader.The Role:*Accurate and timely nomination of trades and flow volumes to the appropriate contracts and delivery points.*Working closely with the trading desk in order to manage traded positions, storage nominations and cross border flows, specifically for the Italian gas market.*Capacity bookings.*Focal point for enquiries from settlements and finance for trade reconciliations.*Daily checks of volume data in ETRM system for storage contracts.*Producing a full and accurate handover to our out-of-hours operations at the end of each working day.*Foster and maintain strong working relationships with the operational focal points across Europe including Transmission System Operators, pipeline operators and counter parties.The Candidate:*Must have a working Knowledge of European gas operations and gas transportation, particularly focused on the Italian and UK markets.*Self-starter and be able to effectively multi-task.*Highly numerate and very strong attention to detail.*Commercially aware, excellent analytical skills and able to make rapid and accurate decisions and ability to handle a stressful environment.*Ability to work under pressure and meet strict time critical deadlines.*Strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.*Detailed knowledge of MS Office Tools, particularly Excel.This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment.
